Hannah Knowles:
Hannah is passionate about showmanship, winning in both Sheep and in Goat,
and has won the 4-H Champion Showmanship Award in the Round Robin at the Shasta District Fair 2 years in a row, in 2010 and in 2011. Both years she has represented Shasta County at the CA State Fair, in the Master Showmanship Competition.
She is very active in her 4-H Club, holding the offices of Treasurer last year and Vice President this year, and being involved in many community service events. She and another member received their Emerald Stars this year for developing a 3 Level Meat Goat Expo Test to be administered to 4-H’ers in Shasta County.
This past weekend 09/24/11 at the Tehama
District Fair Haylee decided to show in the Pee Wee showmanship for the first time ever. She won the goat showmanship and then also won the Overall Pee Wee Showmanship Buckle after the round robin. She had to show the her goat twice, a pig and a lamb to win the buckle.
Justice Moeller:
Justice had her first experience showing her goat Snickers at Oktoberfest 2011. She did very well taking home ribons and prizes. She is enjoying learning about goats and how to raise them. She can not wait untill January when her does are scheduled to start kidding. She is very thankful for the help and pointers she received from President Jon Blevins and Christie Hobby.
